Aglaonema are lovely decorative houseplants with large, narrow, glossy, oval leaves. They come in a variety of beautiful color variations. Aglaonema Valkyrie is a gorgeous dark and light green variety with silvery accents. Known as Chinese Evergreen , they are considered a lucky plant in China! This lovely plant is sure to brighten up any space in your home! Best of all, it's a very easy plant to care for, perfect for beginners or those with busy lives!

We recommend a terracotta pot of approximately 7.5 cm.

Parcel packaging:

  • The cuttings are packaged bare-rooted, well protected in sphagnum moss (to retain moisture during their journey). Depending on the species of cuttings (e.g. succulents), we sometimes add dried sphagnum moss or pack them in the growing pot.
  • All cuttings sold in the shop are rooted in soil and substrate (unless otherwise stated in the advertisement).
  • The cuttings are then wrapped in kraft paper (approximately 90 g/m thick) and placed in sturdy, rigid boxes. Depending on the type of plant, we also add two layers of kraft paper and secure the contents of the package with paper. We limit the use of plastic as much as possible.

Shipments:

  • Shipments to FRANCE are made Monday through Thursday. Packages are sent via Colissimo without a signature. If you prefer, we can also send them to the collection point of your choice. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
  • Shipments to the EU are made only on Mondays (or rarely Tuesday or Wednesday if weather permits).

The Heat Pack:

  • A heat pack is a very useful heater for transporting cuttings during the winter. It helps the cuttings retain some heat during freezing weather.
  • Heat packs should be discarded after use. They should not be mixed into the substrate.
  • We order them when night (or morning) temperatures drop below 10 degrees.
  • The heat pack is sold separately, and the direct link is here : https://rb.gy/orzwxr

After receiving the package:

  • You received your cuttings, and you're wondering what to do next? The cuttings you received may be hungry and tired, which is completely normal after a trip. Before repotting them directly, put them in a small glass with (1/4 water) adding the sphagnum moss you received and the cutting for about 3 or 4 hours (you should not put the cutting directly in water because the roots are used to the substrate, and the bacteria present in the substrate combined with the water can cause rot). If you ever want to switch the cuttings to hydroponics, it is important to wash the roots well with lukewarm water, several times.

The choice of pot:

  1. Size We always choose the right-sized pots. The risk of root rot is very high when a cutting is in a pot that is too large because the amount of substrate and water is too much for the roots. Large pot = Too much substrate = Too much water = Too long drying time, and the roots are swimming in water. Therefore, it is important to choose a pot of the appropriate diameter.

  2. Material The choice of pot material is important: terracotta or plastic (with a pot cover), etc. Terracotta pots are generally ideal for plants. They help drain excess water across the entire surface of the pot and allow the roots to dry more quickly before the next watering. BUT, for some plant species (such as Calatheas or Marantas), the roots do not appreciate periods of drought (even short ones). In this case, plastic pots are very useful for retaining moisture.

  3. Bottom We always opt for pots with a perforated bottom (regardless of the type of pot, ceramic, plastic or even terracotta).
