Arrives between May 26 and May 28.

You will receive a beautiful cutting (three or four leaves minimum). I recommend a terracotta pot of approximately 8.5 cm in diameter.

Parcel packaging:

*Cuttings are packed bare-rooted, well protected in sphagnum moss (to retain moisture during their journey). Depending on the species of cuttings (e.g. succulents), I sometimes add dried sphagnum moss or pack them in the growing pot.
*All cuttings sold in the store are rooted in soil and substrate (unless indicated in the advertisement).
* The cuttings are then wrapped in kraft paper (about 90 gm thick) and placed in sturdy, rigid boxes. Depending on the type of plant, I also add two layers of kraft paper and secure the package continents with paper. I limit the use of plastic as much as possible.

The Shipments:
*NEW: Pickup possible directly in our showroom in Septèmes-les-vallons (13240), Fr. Do not hesitate to contact me to finalize :)

*Shipping to FRANCE is Monday through Thursday. Packages are shipped with Colissimo without a signature. If you prefer, I can also deliver to a collection point of your choice. Please feel free to contact me (mobile number required in this case).
*Shipments to the EU are made only on Mondays (rarely Tuesday or Wednesday if time permits).

The Heat Pack:

*A heat pack is a heater that is very useful for transporting cuttings during the winter. It helps the cuttings retain some heat during freezing weather.
*Heat packs should simply be discarded after use. We do not mix them into our substrates, etc.
*They are ordered when the night (or morning) temperature drops below minus 10 degrees.
*The heat pack is sold separately and the direct link is here:

After receiving the package:

*You now have your cuttings. What should you do?
The cuttings received in packages are sometimes hungry and tired, which is very normal after a trip. Before taking them back directly, we take a small glass with (¼ part water) and put the sphagnum received and the cutting in it for about 3 or 4 hours (we do not put the cutting directly in water because the roots are used to substrate and the bacteria in the substrate in combination with water can cause rot. If you ever want to put the cuttings in hydro, you must wash the roots well with lukewarm water (several times).

The choice of pot:

1. Size
We always adopt the correct size pots.
The risk of root rot is very high when a cutting is in a pot that is too large because the amount of substrate and water is very important for the roots.
Large pot = Lots of substrate = Lots of water = Too much time to dry out and the roots are left swimming in water.
So it is important to put the correct diameter of pot.

2. Material
We often talk about pot material, we go through a terracotta pot or plastic (with a pot cover) etc.
Terracotta pots are generally ideal for plants. They help drain excess water with the entire surface of the pot and they also help the roots dry out a little quickly before the next watering. BUT in some plant species (like calathea/ Maranta etc) the roots do not like dry periods (even the shortest) and here we adopt plastic pots which are very useful to keep the humidity.

3. Background
We always adopt pots with a perforated bottom (whatever the pot, ceramic, plastic or even terracotta).
