How to care for your Alocasia Nairobi Nights Aurea
Light
Choose a location with bright, indirect light to preserve the variegated foliage. Avoid intense direct sunlight.
Watering
Keep the growing medium slightly moist during the growing season, without overwatering. Water less frequently when growth slows down. Use a pot with drainage and do not allow water to collect at the bottom.
Humidity and temperature
The plant prefers warmth and a fairly humid environment free from drafts. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations.
Growing medium and repotting
Use a light, highly aerated growing medium suitable for tropical plants. Allow the plant to acclimatise to its new environment before repotting, and choose only a slightly larger pot once the roots are well developed.
