Care tips

Light

Place your Alocasia Jacklyn in bright indirect light. Avoid intense direct sunlight, which may scorch the leaves, as well as very dark locations.

Watering

Water when the top 2 to 3 centimeters of the substrate are dry. Moisten the root ball without leaving water to stand in the saucer or decorative pot. Reduce watering when growth slows down in winter.

Humidity and temperature

This tropical plant appreciates relatively high ambient humidity and a stable temperature, ideally between 18 and 28 °C. Protect it from cold drafts and temperatures below 15 °C. Good air circulation is important.

Substrate and repotting

Prefer an airy and well-draining substrate, for example, potting soil for indoor plants with perlite and fine bark. Repot only if necessary, preferably during the growing season, in a slightly larger pot with drainage holes.

Fertilizer

In spring and summer, you may apply a balanced fertilizer for green plants, diluted according to the manufacturer's instructions. Reduce or suspend applications during dormant periods.

Foliage development

An older leaf may naturally turn yellow when a new one develops. Variations in growth habit and foliage are part of the normal growth of this live plant.

Precautions

Toxic if ingested: keep it out of reach of children and pets.
